International Consortium for Assistive Technology
A clearing house for matching developments in assistive technology, funding and human resources with the people, communities, and groups that need them.
People with disabilities are able to benefit substantially from assistive technologies. These technologies help the visually impaired, the deaf and hard of hearing as well as those with problems of mobility.
Assistive technology can be of equal value to people with disabilities regardless of age.
Our goals are to help match those that develop these technologies together with organizations and individuals who are able to assist in outreach projects to increase the awareness and benefits of these Assistive Technologies to the people who need them.
We develop programs to connect the developers of Assistive Technologies with sources of funding and with outreach programs and projects designed to broaden awareness of the benefits of these technologies within the population especially those that are most likely to directly benefit from them.
